Common Sense UK
I have been away for too long..I was off-line for three weeks because of a virus and I now have a new PC. I was pleased to see that my comments on eating salt when it is sweaty -hot were endorsed by the Times. They ran an article telling readers to add salt even to the water they drink, because water intake dilutes the salt content in the body.Vindication is sweet. It feels good to be right.
It does scare me when the joint loonies in the government and the media start in on children and their diet.Children should eat plenty of chips and plenty of fried fish.Oil makes their brains alert.PLEASE don't listen to the lunatic food police. If your child is fat take them out everyday for a run or a long walk.Enrol them in sports training --regular exercise is exactly as important as a good broad spectrum diet that includes all kinds of tasty food. Negation is bad management .Emphasising on denial --don't eat any more .Don't eat that. That will make you fat ---is a horrible daily philosophy.Children should grow up in a relaxed environment and should enjoy all food.It is the parent's duty to make sure they also get enough exercises to balance the food intake.
This means less of the video games, less TV,less sitting around at home. The good side is that this ensures more parent-child contact..I have to go now.Back soon
